Preparing the food for the fisher-
men were J.T., Joy, Bertha and
Milton. It doesn't matter what they
cook up, jt tastes extra good to the
fishermen who have been out on the
lakes since dawn.
The invitation is extended to all for
the monthly weigh-ins. which are
held on the third Sunday of each
month between the hours of 2-3 p.m.
at the BBB building. ‘‘

Our sympathy to Jim Short, whose
sister died recently. Jim went to New
Mexico for the funeral, buj is home
now at his house on Mountain Top.
Our good friend and neighbor,
Hugh Walter Sanders, was taken to
the Llano hospital Saturday morning,
January 25, with a possible heart
attack. Hugh Walter is one of the
ministers who preaches at the
Sunrise Beach Federated Church.
His wife, Dorothy, has been ill and
under doctor's care for some time.
Our prayers and best wishes for a
speedy recovery for both of them.
Have you heard of “Walk-a-

The stew supper held Jsnuary 24
st the Civic Center was a great
success. It was sponsored by the
Citizens for Community Action As-
sociation. Dot Hart and Dora Welle?
were in charge. The stew was
Delicious and. along with the corn-
bread and c^bler, was a real feast.
Everyone seemed to enjoy it, and
several went back for seconds.
About 180 people were served,
and over 40 stayed and played games
after. Over $500 was made from the
event, and will be used to help pay
off the debt incurred when the Civic
Center was repaired from the snow
damage, and enlarged.
1 would like to congratulate this
fine group on their member partici-
pation. They encourage everyone
on Sunrise Beach to come to their
monthly meetings and find out what
they are ail about. Their primary
purpose is to raise funds for the Civic
Center while providing fun and
named the winners who brought in
the best stringers of black bass.
About 145 people showed up to
watch the weighing at the BBB
building, located on RR 1431 near
the intersection of SH 29. In the team
division, the winners were James
Palmer and Lloyd Clipplinger in first .
place; Ricky Hibler and Randy
Hibler, second place, and in third
place was the team of Mike McCoy
