Deane Arlea Blair was born July 28, 1956 in Austin, TX, the first child to Oliver Blair
and Mary Dean Sanders. She was a devoted daughter to her parents and took care of her
mother, Mary Sanders, until her passing in October 2016.
Deane attended public school in the San Antonio Independent School District and
graduated from Sam Houston High School. Dean was an extremely talented young lady,
smart engaged in many organizations including Nation Honor Society, Senior Class &
Junior Class Vice President, Student Council, Student Government Vice President, Future
Teachers of America, Wantu Wazuri (Black Studies) and the Spanish Club. Deane then
went to further her education and attended the University of Texas at Austin where member
of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Epsilon Beta Chapter in the Spring of 1976. She
studied Business Administration and graduated from the University of Texas at San
Antonio. Deane went on to become a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant and was employed at
USAA for 40 years. She then retired in November of 2017.
Deane was reunited with her college sweetheart, Dupree Adams, in June 2016, after 40
years of being apart. Deane and Dupree were joined in holy matrimony in January of
2017. They were able to travel extensively and enjoyed spending time working in their
church.
Deane was precede in death by her father, Oliver Lowell Blair; mother, Mary Dean Blair;
sisters, Donna Olivia Blair Walton and Valerie Lynn Blair. She is survived by husband
Dupree Adams; sister Nancy Blair Douglas (Calvin); nephews Brandon Dean Blair, Ryan
Blair Walton and other loving relatives, friends, and church family who will always
cherish sweet memories of her love, kindness, and compassion.Prelude
