Second Reading Rev. Kevin Nelson 1 John 4:7-12
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has
been born of God and knows God. s Whoever does not love does not know God, because
God is love. 9 This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only
Son into the world that we might live through him.'0 This is love: not that we loved God,
but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. " Dear
friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12No one has ever seen
God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

'Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's
house there are many dwelling-places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to
prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and
will take you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be also. And you know the
way to the place where I am going.' Thomas said to him, 'Lord, we do not know where
you are going. How can we know the way?' Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the
truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'
