COOKIE:
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. chopped dates
75-85 round Ritz crackers
Boil sweetened condensed milk and dates until thickened. Add
nuts and spread on crackers. Bake at 325 degrees for 8 minutes.
Frost.
FROSTING-.
11# c. powdered sugar
1 pkg. cream cheese softened
J/2 c. margarine softened
11. vanilla
Mix all ingredients, spread over cooled cookies. Yield: 61Z2
dozen. Refrigerate and keep covered.

following scrumptious-sounding recipes that we’ll run for
the next two weeks:

Easy Refrigerator Rolls
1 c. warm water
2 pkg. yeast
Mix until dissolved.
1 stick light margarine (softened)
11. salt
5-6 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. boiling water
Mix together and stir until hikewarm. Add yeast mixture and
«tir enough flour in to make a soft dough. Knead for 5 minutes.
Let dough rest for 5 minutes. Make rolls and place in oiled pan
to rise for 2 hours or until doubled. Bake at 375 degrees until
brown, riangh will keep in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Servings: 24; Calories: 150; Fat: 4 grams. This dough works
well for cinnamon rolls. Roll dough into a rectangle and spread
with melted butter. Sprinkle generously with sugar, cinnamon and
railring (optional). Roll into a roll beginning on the line long side.
Cut into 1 inch slices with a bread knife. Place in well greased
pan and let rise until doubled in size. Bake at 375 degrees until
golden brown (don’t overcook). Ice with thin mixture of powdered
sugar, milk and vanilla.

2 (10 1/2 oz.) pkgs. Jello cheesecake mix
1 c. boiling water
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
1/2 c. chopped pecans
Pour boiling water over Jello and dissolve. Add remaining
ingredients. Pour half of Jello mixture into bowl and chill well.
While this is drilling, mix 2 (101/2 oz.) boxes of unbaked
cheesecake mixes, following directions onbox. (Don’t use die
■ graham cracker crust.) Pour cheesecake mixture over chilled Jello,
then chill again Pour remaining Jello mixture over cheesecake.
I Chill. Garnish as deaired.
