It's Homecoming week in
Comanche and it is a full fun
weekend.
The Ex-Students Associa-
tion is sponsoring a Ham-
burger Supper at the High
School Commons from 6:30
until 7:00 p.m. Hamburgers,
chips, fried pies and iced tea
will be served for $4.00 each
with proceeds going to the Ex-
Students Scholarship. Tickets
may be purchased at the door.
The Ex-Students will be ac-
cepting $1.00 donations at
the Hamburger Supper for
two wonderful gifts that any-
one would be proud to take
home. Carolyn Merworth, with
the help of Tbnna Clemons,
has made a gorgeous stained
glass Indian. It is beautiful
and you will certainly want
it. The other gift is a Silver
Indian necklace with South-
west charms with matching
earrings and hair clip donated
by Peggy Dewbre of Peggy’s
Designs. It is really nice and
very appropriate for Home-
coming. Don’t miss the table
for these donations.
The Class of ‘56 is having
a reunion this year. Sammy
Marshall is the local chairman
and a full weekend of activi-
ties is planned. The group will
attend the Hamburger Sup-
per on Friday evening and go
to the game between the Co-
manche Indians and the Early
Longhorns. A golf tournament
is planned for Saturday and
dinner at PAR Country Club
on Saturday night. (We under-
stand there may be some en-
tertainment at the Club Satur-
day night also!)
The Class of ‘69 will have
a “mini-meeting” during the
Hamburger Supper to make
plans for their reunion next
year. All members of the Class
of ‘59 are urged to come and
help make derisions
Another very special part
of Homecoming is the pre-
sentation of the Ex-Students
Distinguished Service Award.
This award will be presented
at Indian Stadium Just prior
to kick-off on Friday night.
This year’s recipient is a most
deserving individual and you
will be proud to view this pre-
sentation.
