Sen. Place Staff Member
In Comanche This Friday
The satellite offices of State
Rep. Allen D. Place, Jr., will be
open on the monthly schedule
this week.
Senior staff member Paul
Gately will be in Comanche at
the Comanche County Court-
house at 1:30 p.m. on Friday,
I hope you, your family
and friends all reached their
destination for Thanksgiving
before the ice and sleet ar-
rived. Daughter and son-in-
law, Wendy and Bobby Feem-
ster of San Angelo came
Wednesday evening, but my
sor, Kenneth Reeves, and
grandsons, Keith and Kendall
of Commerce, got caught in
the storm. They made it safely,
but a little late for dinner.
The food was still warm, and
the afternoon was spent feel-
ing stuffed and watching the
football game. What a great
way to spend the afternoon,
surrounded be family, except
a win for the Cowboys would
have been nice. Our guests
stayed over Friday and we pol-
ished off the leftovers. Now it’s
full speed ahead for the Christ-
mas holiday.
Bill and Inez Babcocck spent
Thanksgiving in Snyder. Roxie
Goosby left TUesday to spend
several days with her daughter
and son-in-law, Gloria and Bob
Burnett of Everman. Debbie
Vandeventer arrived TUesday
to spend the weekend with her
family. She was a guest of her
grandmother, Dorothy Stone,
at the center on Wednes-
day. Dorothy had her usual
4 Thanksgiving dinners again
this year. She enjoyed dinner
at the Hendricks Home for
Children, in Abilene, dinner at
Eastside Baptist Church, din-
ner here at the center, and one
with her family. I wonder what
she is doing for Christmas.
Mina Rose of Thmpa, Florida,
and Wilma Rudeseal of Dal-
las, were guests of Jo Stapp
last week. They all attended
a family dinner at the Golden
Corral in Brownwood, honor-
ing her 94 year old aunt, Rena
Eproson. Other guests were
Jessie Rudeseal of Brown-
wood, Johnny Rudeseal, Patsy I
and Johnny Feagan of Steph- I
enville, Ardell Elliott, and Mr. I
and Mrs. Norris Sydow, and 1
daughters, Lisa and Alicia, |
who recently moved to Co- I
manche.
D.R. and Charlene Philley I
attended the funeral of her
unde, Lonnie Craig, in Hasse i
on TUesday. D.R. was guest ■
preacher at Rising Star Bap- I
tist Church on Sunday.
The *13” Club met at the i
home of Iva Orren on Novem- I

high score. We all enjoyed the |

ments.
