there. Bonnie DeArmond, of
Houston, is a granddaughter
of Dr. W. M. Moore, formerly
of Sipe Springs. We knew the
family well at Sipe Springs, in
fact her mother and her aunt
were named for my cousins.
Bonnie left a donation for the
use of the lights during the
two-hour tour, and a dona-
tion to sponsor her grandfa-
ther for the Doctor’s Room,
and thinks she can find a pic-
ture of her grandfather for
us. We, who knew the fam-
ily, were so pleased to know
what had happened to Ronda,
Billy, and David, the kids with
whom several of us had gone
to school with. Mary Jon and
Aletha were not in school.
We received another dona-
tion for the Doctor’s Room
this week from May Leonard
sponsoring Dr. Robert R. Lee
of Sipe Springs. Dr. Lee spent
his childhood at Sipe Springs,
then went off to become a doc-
tor, then in his later years re-
tired at Sipe Springs because
of his health, and practiced
medicine there. When he re-
turned, people were so pleased
to have a good doctor avail-
able. We are so pleased some
one sponsored him. Gaston
and Dr. Lee were childhood
friends.
There surely is a lot to be
done at the Museum now, so if
you are looking for something
to do, come out to see us.

This past week end has
been a busy one and a sad
one. We lost our next door
neighbor, Ibm Cox, Jr., whose
late wife, Billie was also our
cousin. It is the large baby
buggy in the Children’s Room
that was Tun's when he was
a baby, that always attracts
so much attention. The story
related to us was that his
Grandfather J.L. (Banty) Cox
bought it and enjoyed showing
his first grandson Ibm, Jr. to
everyone. Banty Cox worked
for Higginbotham in those
days.
This Mother’s Day was nice
tho’ with the kids here.
We had a very interesting
visitor this week who with her
two children toured the Mu-
seum and was very impressed
with different things of history
