Cofumbus, N. M., March 24.—
Lieutenant Edgar B. Gorrell of the avi-
ation corp* was reacued Thursday
afternoon on the .Mexican desert, ten
mile* south of La AscenHlon. He was
found by a squad In charge of Lieu-
tenant J. R Perkins of the Twentieth
Infantry.
Gorrell had been stranded with ills
plane since Sunday. He explained
that he lost his way and hud been
compelled to land because a leaking
gasoline tank had allowed his fuel to
run out.
Uninjured and suffering only from
the exposure of three sun blfttcring
