the guest of Mrs T .1. Poole
Mr. J. .M. Spence, of Buckeye, spent
today in the city on business
.Mr .Jim Hawkins, of Matagorda.! noon,
was a visitor to Bay City Saturday.
Carrying out the nutrapulitan idea,
of a living model exhibit by wbioh tt
was designed to demonstrats in a
practical manner how well women ap-
pear when clad In smart apparel.
Mooro & Reynolds added novelty and
merit to Manager Korn’s already com-
plete program al the Grand Opera
House last Saturday night. The an-
nouncement that this style show
would lake place was the means of
bringing out a big crowd and Manager
Korn showed to a capacity house in
consequence.
If there is anything under the sun
in which women are profoundly in-
terested it is the subject of dress, and
when an extraordinary style event
like that of Saturday night gets on
the tapis ymt may depend upon it
that it will overshadow all other hap- !
ponings so far as the women arc eon- j
cerned The elre and character of
the audience Saturday night fully
warrants tho foregoing statement. The '
main audtiorium was filled to over-
so was the gallery.
The living model stylo show was
something new for Bay City and it
proved to be a hit. Appareled In rai-
ment and fine linen that reflect the
spring season's latest styles, almost
a score of Bay City’s ladies appeared
on the stage and gave the audience an
opportunity of seeing how well these
garments looked for street and house
weal The dresses included coat
suits, street gowns, outing costumes
and other models, all showing the
rang»- of colors and patterns that are
de rigueur for tills season, all these
gowns being from the splendid stock '

ingly dressed and displaying individ-
uality in her attire, paraded around
