Mr. Benjamin Warner Kuykendall, a

died nt Wharton Saturday. May 11,
and was buried in the Hawley ceme-
tery near Blessing yesterday after-
noon. At tbe time of his deal It he
I wits C>3 y ears of age.
Four sisters, Mrs. .1 II. McCrosky
and Miss Emma Kuykendall, of this
county, Mrs Harry Gainer, of Vic-
toria and Mrs II. 11. Lee of Wharton,
survive him.
Mr. Kuykendall was a membei of
i one of Matagorda County's oldest
families and was born and raised in
tlie county, whore lie had many
friends and acquaintances He was
laid Io rest in the family pint of the
Hawley cemetery yesterday afternoon
: by loving friends and members of the
I family who accompanied the remains
j to the burial place after the arrival
