So Special, We’re Celebrating for Four Days!
CHODSHI
SUNDAY, JUNE 11
(Sanctuary - 10 a.m.)
(First Day of Shavuot)
Rejoice with the Beth
Chodshi Weekend service is extra-special, but the
vice of Chodshi, June 11, the first day of Shavuot, will
really be an event. One of the highlights will be a recrea-
tion of the joyful celebration of bringing the first fruits
to the Temple in Jerusalem, as expressed in dance by the
Beth Yeshurun Israeli Folk Dance Troupe. Thirty-one
dancers in costume will perform, including those pictured:
(top) Doyle Sturman, Yossi Biniamini, Eugene Vecera,
Dr. Kirk Wilhelmus; (center) Denise Vecera; (bottom)
Rochelle Croft, Cheryl Ann Zonana, choreographer
Rachel Rozycki, and Candy Roberts.
Enjoy the FREE Blintzes-and-Sour
Cream Luncheon . . . Everyone is
Welcome! After service on Sunday, June
11, TNT-SOS-VIP will sponsor a fabu-
lous luncheon in honor of the holiday.
What else but blintzes and sour cream?
And every one is invited! Five of the
group’s leaders will also be honored with plaques saluting
their contribution to this popular family service: Scott
Asarch, TNT president; Heidi Balser, SOS president; Dr.
Herbert Weinstein, VIP president; George Abrahams,
super-coordinator; and Sharon Taitel, breakfast co-
ordinator.
Share the Joy of Shavuot with our Havurot! Repre-
sentatives of Rabbi Cahana’s nine Beth Yeshurun Havurot
will take part in the Chodshi Sunday service. Receiving
aliyot will be Issar Normand, Marsha and Lonnie
Schooler, Kathy and Richard Shelter, Sandra and Moe
Shimmel, and Dr. Robert and Lennie Weinberger. Dror
