SHELTON S in Mt. Vernon,
Texas is noted for having the
best prices in North East
Texas. So before you make
your final selection of
furniture, shop around, then
go to Shelton's and let them
give you their everyday low
price. You will be surprised
at the savings you will
receive. So come to Shelton's
for all your furniture,
appliance, and accessory
needs. Located l mile north
of Interstate 30 on Hwy. 37.
Savings Accounts pay
lower rate of interest be
cause the bank doesn't
know how long or how
much of a savings account
will be available for the
bank to lend to its borrow
ers. C D.'s on the other
hand, are less flexible,
since the purchaser of the
C D 's, in effect, agrees to
leave his money in the
bank for a specified period
of time — ranging any
where from 30 days to 10
years in some banks. The
bank thus knows how long
it will have the C D. mon
ey available for lending.
The bank knowing how
long it will have this mon
ey available, can offer
more attractive rates. The
longer the term of the
C D , the higher the inter
est rate, up to the maxi-
mum provided under the
law
