Dear Alma:
I am a seveateea-year-oM
high school junior. There is a
boy who has been at my
school for about three
weeks. 1 have gotten really
close to him, but there is one
thing stopping os from going
together. One girl, a year
younger than me, goes after
every boy I like. I don’t
know what to do. She and I
have had two fights but
fighting doesn't solve it. She
has already taken three boys
away from me. What should
I do? — Bagwell, Tex.
Dear Tex:
Tell your new boyfriend
everything you’ve just told
me. If he really cares for
you, he will be on his guard
with your rival and resist
her game. No boy likes to be
collected like a butterfly.
I’m sure he’d much rather
have an honest, close rela-
tionship with you.
Dear Alma:
Could you tell me the
name of the actor who
played “Freddie” the crazy
disc jockey in a “Charlie’s
Angels” episode called
“Disco Angels?” I have a
$20 bet with my husband
that “Freddie” was Marjoe
Gortner. — Bev Cleaves in

winter pasture situation in
most areas. Dr. Randall
Grooms, area livestock spe-
cialist for the Texas Agri-
cultural Extension Service,
says that the proper utiliza-
tion of these pastures can
make the difference betwen
success and failure.
Grooms
ting the forage grow to
height of six or eight inches
>- before turning in cattle. This
will allow the plants to gflrQw
a sturdy root system neces-
sary for maximum growth in
later stages. The forages
should be grazed prior to a
hard freeze. Grazing causes
the plants to tiller and
thereby produce more fo-
rage on the regrowth.
Beef producers should
study winter feeding alter-
natives very carefully. Poul-
try producers have success-
fully used a mixture
I -broiler litter and grain to
winter certain classes of
beef cattle. The mix makes
an excellent feed and can
extend the hay supply quite
substantially...
Some type of rack of
i feeder should be used when
feeding large rolls of hay.
Research at the Texas A&M
University Agricultural Re-
search and Extension
Center has shown that a
high percentage of the hay is
lost if feeders are not used.
With the short hay supply
this year and the high cost of
producing hay, ranchers
■ need to conserve and save
■ all costs possible.

Dear D.F.L.:
Insist that they use their
own towels ... and if they’re
so hung up on sharing, let it
be the laundry chores.
