FEED THE HUNGRY
. . BUT REPENTANCE,
PRAYER AND CHARITY CAN
REMOVE THE SEVERITY OF
THE DECREE.”
On Rosh Hashana we Jews prayed that we and those close
to us be inscribed for a year of life, good health and blessings.
While offering prayers on our own behalf, we at the same time
have the good fortune to be able to improve the lot of less for-
tunate men, women and children who lack the most basic yet
critical need of man — food. We at Congregation Beth Yesh-
urun must increase our dedication and commitment to the
eradication of hunger in our community. By so doing, the New
Year will be better for all of us.
Please bring canned food to the containers in the lobby or
mail a check (made payable to Congregation Beth Yeshurun -
Memo: Feed the Hungry) to help eradicate hunger in Houston.
