FOOD PANTRY
Everyone is welcome! Admission is free!
The Food Pantry Project of Beth Yeshurun’s Social Action
Committee needs your help. You can help by bringing the
following list of food to feed a 3 or 6 person family: Rice 2 lb./5
lb. bag; beans (pinto) 21b./5 lb.; oil - large bottle; tomato sauce
5 to 10 8-oz. cans; green vegetable, 2 or 3 cans; vermicelli
(noodles), 1 bag; optional: macaroni, peanut butter, chunkey
soup - bring any time.
You can also help by bringing a can of food whenever you
come to the synagogue along with sending a check to Beth
Yeshurun Food Pantry, 4525 Beechnut, Houston, Tx. 77096.
$15 - $25 will buy food for the week. Some of the money is also
used to pay utilities and stop eviction notices for special cases.
Please send your check weekly or monthly - we have regular
donors and we appreciate it. We will buy the food for you!!

CHANUKAH GIFT BAZAAR
NOVEMBER 20, 1987
8:30 A.M.— 3:00 P.M.
Beth Yeshurun members and friends, as well as the
community at large, are invited to do their Chanukah gift
shopping at the P.T.O.’s second annual “It’s Bazaar!!” The
bazaar will take place on Friday, November 20, from 8:30
a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and will coincide with the parent-teacher
conference being held that day for both the Day School and
Beth Hayeled.
The Mandel-Weiner Auditorium will be transformed into a
festive place featuring a wide variety of gift ideas for both
adults and children. Items for sale include silver and costume
jewelry, stationery, candles, hostess gifts, gift containers,
hand-painted and designer clothing, sweaters, paintings and
drawings, Discovery toys, children’s accessories, board games,
Judaica, tables, and the World Book Encyclopedia, among
many others. Services offered include catering, skin care, and
calligraphy.
Lucky raffle winners will enjoy a tray of cookies from
Eddie’s Gourmet, or a coffee and dessert at Executive Sweet’s
new restaurant opening soon on Kirby.
Admission is free and coffee will be served “on the house”.
All proceeds go to the P.T.O. for the benefit of our schools.
