IT’S A “NEW COUPLE RAISING DRIVE’’
On Thursday evening, November 10, starting at 7:30 p.m.,
come for dessert at Sharon and Michael Segal’s house (4806
Jason). But there’s one catch — it’s also a “New Couple Raising
Drive. ” So tell another couple about our great group and bring
them along. If you have two new couples, or a favorite dessert
you are known for, bring them, or it too!!
It will be a lot of fun — meet new people and try a new

MEN’S CLUB
2ND ANNUAL CLOTHING DRIVE
Remember the date — Sunday, November 13, 1988 — 9:00
a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Beth Yeshurun parking lot at the
flagpole. This year it will benefit the Volunteers of America, a
United Way Agency. Volunteers of America provides clothing,
without charge, to the needy and homeless in Houston. Please
do your share and help us by bringing clothing of all kinds,
and baby items, such as diapers and bottles. Your caring will
make us all Houston Proud!
Please call the Synagogue office if you have any questions
-666-1881. With your list of items provided, we will provide
official receipts for your use. Thank you, as always for caring!
SUNDAY SCHOOL CONSECRATION
A Historic Occasion
The 28 kindergarten children in the Beth Yeshurun Sunday
School will be consecrated at the E.S.P. Service on Friday,
November 4,1988. This will be a unique and historic occasion
as it will be the first time ever that the children in the Sunday
School are consecrated at an evening service.
The program will be led by the principal, Mrs. Sharon Rice,
and members of her staff, and will involve parents of the
kindergarten students. Special parts of the service will be
conducted by the children together with their parents and Mr.
Michael Kessel, education director, will hand out the symbolic
torah to the children.
The service will commence at 6:00 p.m.

4th grade Students in our Day School
and their parents, grandparents,
brothers and sisters, etc.
The 4th grade students will not only be present but
they will also conduct and lead the service. Bring the
