The Irwin & Joyce Meisler Family
In celebration of the 40th wedding anniversary of their
children, Dr. Irwin and Joyce Meisler, Minnie Meisler and
Adessa Catchman placed a leaf on the Beth Yeshurun Simcha
Tree. The celebration continued when the entire family,
grandparents, parents, children, and three grandchildren
went on a Caribbean Cruise on the S.S. Norway.
Irwin and Joyce said, “The cruise was great fun, and we are
delighted to have our names placed on the Simcha Tree.”
Joyce’s synagogue roots are deep, as her great grandfather,
Paul Goldstein, was one of the founders of Congregation
Adath Yeshurun. Joyce has been a life-long member of
Congregation Beth Yeshurun where she received her religious
education and confirmation.
Joyce and Irwin were married at Congregation Beth
Yeshurun by Rabbi Wm. S. Malev, Rabbi Geller and Cantor
Landman. Their children, Sharon Ripps of Denver, Carol
Hyman of Houston, Paul Meisler of Austin, and Terri Carr of
Atlanta, Georgia received their religious educations at
Congregation Beth Yeshurun. Carol Hyman continues the
family’s affiliation with Congregation Beth Yeshurun, which
makes her a fifth generation Beth Yeshurunite.
Joyce and Irwin, on behalf of the synagogue, we wish you
continued good health and happiness. Many, many more joyous
anniversaries.
To celebrate a simcha, you can place names on the Tree of
Life by calling chairman, Sonia Raizes, 723-5271.
