Purim Carnival A Great Success!
Operation Chometz
Editors
Purim is now behind us and Pesach is just before us. Our con-
gregants will be cleaning out their pantries of many different
chametzdik food stuffs. Rather than throw them in the trashcan,
I would like to suggest that you bring all your chametzdik canned
goods to the synagogue and place them in our large container
that we have in the lobby.
Since the first seder of Pesach is Monday evening, April 9th,
the deadline for receiving these chametzdik food products will be
Sunday, April 8th.
Please help yourselves by helping hungry people in Houston.
Our school remodeling is becoming a viseral reality. Progress
continues in a timely manner on the school building construction.
To date the stake out, strip, place, fill, drilled footings, exterior
grade beams and underground grade beams, and reinforcing
steel are in place. The poured concrete slab and beams should be
completed by this publication date.
Watch for more information in The Message.

This year’s Purim Carnival was a fun-filled day for the hun-
dreds of children and adults who attended.
Thanks to everyone who helped make this year’s carnival the
success that it was. On behalf of the Youth Activities Depart-
ment I would like to thank all those who helped plan, made
phone calls, donated prizes and cakes, worked booths, sold
tickets, etc. we could not have done it without you. Also a great
big thanks to the Men’s Club for the superb job done on the
Wheel of Fortune and to the PTO for their help and support
throughout the carnival. Thanks to all the children for par-
ticipating and having such a great time!
