at Beth Yeshurun, proceeds along the Braeswood Bayou to
the JCC and then returns to Beth Yeshurun, approximately 4
miles.
We’re looking for sponsors and underwriters for the event.
It’s a great way to show your support for Israel and to help
raise funds for a microscope navigational system for the
Hadassah Hospital. Registration forms will be available soon.

Over 80 USY/Kadima teens and staff attended our 8th annual
Texas Rennaissance Festival Event this October! Both Beth
Yeshurun youth groups and all of the City-Wide HouJew teens had
a marvelous time at this popular annual tradition.
USY was bustling this October with events each weekend,
including a Dive In, a USY Shabbat at the Strauss’ home, and a
Charity Garage Sale. In November, USY will travel to Fort Worth
for a convention, volunteer at the Mickey Leland Emergency
Children’s Shelter, as well as its ever-famous and totally unpre-
dictable Scavenger Hunt on Nov. 23.
Kadima proudly delivered 20 of its new Kadima Gift Packs to
its first 20 registered members. Only 10 more 5th, 6th, and 7th
graders will be eligible for these awesome gift packs this year!
Kadima’s new leadership coalition has started to plan the fall and
spring schedule and are drafting this year’s new t-shirt. In No-
vember, Beth Yeshurun Kadima hosts the first ever Rollerskating
Party in coordination with both Southwest and North Houston
Young Judaea chapters, Or Ami’s newly-formed Kadima chapter,
and the children of the Mickey Leland Shelter.
For more information on how your 5th-7th grader or 8th-high
school teen can join our Kadima and USY programs, please call
Director Gabi Klaf at 713-271-0054.
Also, USY wishes to thank the congregation, as always, for
their enthusiastic support in our fundraising efforts. With your
help,we raised $150 at the Annual Sukkot Bake Sale.
