with the proper machinery there is no
reason why first-class building brick
cajnnot be made here with sufficient
hardness to be successfully shipped to
any part of the state. Vie are now
trying to get different men who have
capital interested in the manufacture
of this great product, and should we
succeed, it will not only be a good
thing for our town and community, but
. it will help to supply the enormous
demand that is existing all over the ;
country for this kind of building ma-
terial.
Every farmer in the neighborhood is
ready to begin planting corn as soon
as the weather settles. There will
be the largest corn acreage around
Wadsworth this year that has ever
been nlanted. and the same can be
said also of cotton. It is estimated
that there will be about two thousand
acres of corn and five thousand acres
of cotton planted and probably ten i
thousand acres of rice.
