Sanger Intermediate School will have its parents-
/grandparents luncheon on Tuesday. March 3. Fourth
graders eat lunch at 11:15 a.m., and fifth graders begin
eating at 11:45 a.m.
Parents and grandparents need to let the Chisholm
Trail or Sanger Intermediate School offices know if they
will attend a luncheon to ensure that there will be enough
food, and they should make sure to come to lunch at the time
their child is scheduled to eat. Adult lunches are $2, and
children's lunches cost $1.15.
Chisholm Trail Elementary Principal Brent Hoy said
the luncheorft have always been positive experiences. Last
year's luncheons brought 450 adults to the school over three
days, and he said he expects at least that many this year.
We want to show the parents and everybody that we love
having them come in," Hoy said. "The kids really love it, and
it's a special day at our school."
A schedule of Chisholm Trail lunch times for each
teacher follows by grade:
1st grade: 10:45 a.m., Mrs. Spann; 10:50 a.m., Mrs.

4th-grade teacher receives
'Apple of the Month' honor
By Betty Johnson
Peggy Butler, a fourth-grade teacher at Sanger
Intermediate School, was honored last week as the January
Teacher of the Month In the Twin Lakes Hospital "Apple of
the Month" program.
Scott Kardenetz, administrator at Twin Lakes, gave
Butler an engraved gold apple bell designating her as
January's winner during an Intermediate School faculty
meeting after school on Wednesday. Feb. 19.
Butler was obviously surprised at the honor, which
Principal Alice Madden kept secret until his an-
nouncement at the meeting.
"I'm very proud to receive it," she said. "I don't quite
know what I did to receive it."
Kardenetz said Butler was being honored "for her
enthusiasm and her love of teaching and for her
representation as an outstanding educator."
She has taught at Sanger Intermediate School four
years. She and her husband, Ade, have two children in
Sanger schools, Cody, a fourth grader; and Chuck, a seventh
grader. ___________________________________________________
