Averyt Smith died Dec.
11, 1995, in a Tyler hospital.
He was born Dec. 31,-1911.
and lived in Tyler since 1968.
Mr. Smith was a U.S.
Army veteran of World War II
and fought in the Battle of
the Bulge, receiving a Purple
Heart and Oak Leaf Cluster.
He was a retired salesman for
Brigger Weaver Machinery
Co., where he worked from
1945 until 1980, and was a
member of University Church
of Christ.
Survivors include his wife
Eleanor Reynolds Smith of
Tyler: a son and daughter-in-
law, Kim Averyt and Sharon
Smith; a daughter and son-
in-law, Debra and Dick
Fromm of Gilmer; a brother,
Rawdon Smith of Era;
sisters, Ada McCallum of
Valley View, Hazel Martin of
Bolivar, Bobbie Aston of
Baytown and Essie Mae
Hobbs of Duncan, Okla.; six
grandchildren; and many
nieces and nephews.
Services for Felicidad
Palos, 69, of Denton, were
held Friday, Dec. 22, at
Iglesia Sobre la Roca, with
the Rev. Jose Sanchez
officiating. Mrs. Palos died
Wednesday, Dec. 20, 1995, at
her home. She was interred
at Roselawn Cemetery in
Denton.
She was bom Sept. 28,
1926, in Yorktown. Texas, to
Manuel and Herminia
Menchaca Rios. She was a
homemaker and a member of
