ton. is here from Oklahoma City. He

Phillips & Franklin in 29-2-3 liave

tractors, Disney & Cole, are running
the eight inch pipe back in the hole.
The sands will be mudded in, the gits
will be brauenheaded and the well wall
be in condition today or tomorrow to
begin drilling deeper in search of an
oil sand. The immense volume of girt

The Frick-Reid Supply company .
some tipe ago obtained a judgment
against E. T. Richards for supplies
furnished the Elgin Oil company which
drilled 24-3-4. A motion bo set aside
the judgment was urged in the county
court and the motion prevailed. It was
stated that the Elgin Oil company pur-
chased the supplies and that the pur-
chase was not made by E. T, Richardy
as an individual. The ease will now be
tried on its merits.
John L. Abernathy, president of the
Purcell Wholesale Grocery company,
with houses in Ardmore and Purcell, te
becoming one of the live wire oil men
of the state. Mr. Abernathy has built
up a fine wholesale grocery business.
He haa devoted much time and study
to Xgrk-nlture and he is now working
his way in to the biggest business in
Oklahoma—the production of petroleum.
The fuel oil department of the Santij
Fe ia now drilling on acreage blocked by
Mr. Abernathy and it is not an impossi-
bility that the development work now-
being carried on will result in the find-
ing of a new field.
It is reported in here that the Lona
Star Gas company has abandoned its

lieen searching for the crew- of the Brit-
ish steamer Kipgstonian, reported sunk
by a German submarine off the Nan-
tucket shoal lightship on Sunday last,
returned here today. None of them re-
ported having found any trace of the
