of The Wesley Foundation, at
Sam Houston College at Hunts-
ville to preach the morning ser-
mon Sunday. Bev. Johnson to tn
t a revival with a fellow preach-
er. Bev. Blackford brought a
most refreshing and soul search-
ing message to the members, he
commented on the lovely church
which he found tn "the Wild
wood.** All hope you may come
again, Rev. Blackford.
Mr. and Mrs. Homer Weaver,
James David and Drew came on
Friday night to spend the week-
end with mother, Mrs. H. D.
Shine. Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Ham-

Shine home Sunday and attend-
ed church at Lynn Grove.
Mr. and Mrs. James Stephens
and three children have return-
ed after a few days with Mr.
and Mrs. L. H. Rogers.***
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Batts with
friends are on the West Coast to
visit several points of interest,
they are to go up into Washing-
ton. We trust they have a fine,
safe trip.
The Otto Haferkamp family of
White Hall spent the day with
father and mother, the Henry
Haferkamps. Otto and son, Da-
. vid, attended church in Nava-
sota Sunday morning. Mr. and
Mrs. Otto Haferkamp, three chil-
. dren, with David of Houston at-
t tended church at 11 o’clock at
Lynn Grove. -
Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Wheeler
I and two little daughters of Bel-
■ zoni. Miss, have moved to Con-
been visiting the Grover Mitch-
ells and the V. Wheelers, while
on vacation, are back at Cleve-
land.
Mrs. Lola Sullivan is adding
a room to their summer cottage
at Courtney. We understand oth-
ers are thinking of building
summer homes in this locality.
This part of Grimes county is
badly in need of a good rain.
Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Wilkinson
of the Country Store were in
Bryan where they visited Mr.
and Mrs. Sam James and chil-
dren Sunday night
B. P. Johnson of Navasota
spent the past week-end with
[ John T. Weaver and Miss Jewel
Weaver.
Mr. and Mrs. Albin Finke and
son, Clarence, were in Anderson I
on Sunday, calling in the home
of W. G. Finke.
Glad to report that Lewis
Johnson, who underwent sur-
gery in a Houston hospital last
week is improving nicely at this
time. Trust he and wife are soon
at home. Mrs. Johnson is in
Houston until Lewis is able to
return home.
Mrs. Fritz Schroeder and Mrs.
Truett Davis of White Hall were
in Bryan on last Thursday.

Courtney, Lynn Grove or White

tendance, and good sermons.
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Buah went
to Conroe last week to visit a
cousin, George Martin, who to
very ill. On return they called
at the home of sister, Mrs. Bruit,
at Navasota. Mr. and Mrs. Hen-
ry Feldmann of White Hall call-
ed at their home on Friday
night
Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Clifford
were in Bryan and Navasota on
Saturday, also visited in College
Station.
Mr. and Mrs. Dave Campbell
and baby, Rebecka Lynn, of Wa-
co were with the Roy Weavers
over the past -Week-end.
Mr. and Mfs. J. O. Page, Mr.
and Mrs. George Shine and chil-
dren of" Houston were with

It is nice to again see the
lights in the John Busse home,
they returned from the hospital
on last Friday. Hope they con-
tinue to improve. One grows
accustomed to the night lights
of neighbors and miss the same,
trust no more wrecks to keep
people away from home.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Sulli-
van visited friends in Hemp-
stead on Saturday night. His
mother, Mrs. Ed Sullivan, also
Joe Fahey are with their sister.
Mrs. Clara Batts, while the Joe
Batt* are on their trip West.
