Some 11 years ago Mrs. H. B.
Anderson, feeling that Nava-
sota needed a pre-school guid-
ance class, opened her Studio at
1005 La Salle to answer a long
needed service for the mothers
of children and children of that
age level.
As founder of Navasota’s first
Child Guidance School, Mrs. An-
derson based her school on
speech - reading f o u n dation,
which gives a true reading
readiness program covering ba-
sic principles for children’s dra-
matics — speech and poise are
given eqj^iasis while talents
and tdnirtWs irr the’ child are
discovered and guided.
During the years since open-
ing her studio, Mrs. Anderson
has spent much time and study
in developing and stimulating
her talents in this particular
field.

held at the Free Will Baptist
Church the past week clpeed
Sunday night with several ad-
ditions to the church. Large
crowds were on hand at each
evening service. Very good at-
tendance for the 10 a.m. meet-
ings. The evangelist, the Rev.
Bobbie Jackson of Flynt, Mich,
left for Bryan Sunday night
where he will conduct revival

William Hughes had a small
car accident last Friday when
he lost control of his pick-up
truck coming down Camp

244 and turned over. Luckily he
was not hurt, the pick-up was
damaged but not beyond re-
pair. Mr. and Mrs. Vastine
Hughes visited them Sunday
and they report he Is doing
fine.
