of their daughter, Deborah Renee, to Michael Scott Powell of Portland.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mrs. Luna May Pogue of
Aransas Pass and the late Herbert "Red" Pogue and Mrs. Alma Faye
Allen of Pawnee, formerly of Ingleside, and the late Neville M. “Ned”
Allen.
The groom is the son of Mrs. Jeanne Powell of Portland and Ben C.
Powell of Corpus Christi and the grandson of Mrs, Catherine Powell of
Franklin.
The couple plans a July 19 wedding in Aransas Pass.

volleyball and swam and were serv-
ed refreshments of sandwiches,

close of the ceremony.
Out-of-town guests were Mr. and

Dustin, all of Austin; Mrs. Debbie

Naomi Jefferson of Taft; Mrs. Carol
Bennett and Becky of Corpus
Christi; Mrs. Elissa York and Mrs.
Carolyn Brasher of Ingleside; and
Jon Lee Brough and Jason of
Refugio.
The new Eagle Scout began his
scouting career in Cub Pack 20 and
later joined Troop 345, Boy Scouts of
America, of which he is now a
member. He is a 1986 graduate of
Gregory-Portland High School and
plans to attend Southwest Texas
State University in the fall.

daughter, Ann Marie Hollowell, born
at the Spohn Hospital at 8:43 a.m. on
Wednesday, June 4,1986.

Granberry Gets Scout Honor
An Eagle Court of Honor was held
for Jon Paul Granberry on June 24 at
the First Baptist Church Fellowship
Hall in Portland.
Ceremonies were opened by Mike
Betz and the invocation was given by
the Rev. Robert F. DeWolfe, vicar of
St. Christopher’s By-the-Sea
Episcopal Church.
“Tne Scout Law —‘A Litany” was
read by DeWolfe, joined by Darin
Koenig and Rick Oates. The Eagle
oath was administered by Robert E.
Woolsey, his scoutmaster, and the
presentation of the Eagle pin and
Eagle certificates were presented to
their son by Betty and Raj'
Granberry.
