TO REINCORPORATE
Alamogordo N. M-. May 8. The vote
on incorporation carried 143 to 91.
Alamogordo voted out incorporation a
year ago because the law under which
the town was Incorporated did not per-
mit the taxing of the saloon. The
present incorporation is under the gen-
eral Incorporation law.

FORT BLISS NOTES.
Fort Bliss.. Tex- May 8. Of interest
to persons who may have cause to be
in the post are the special orders of the
guard recently published from headquar-
ters and which are now in effect as
they require the guard and sentinels oa
post to nalt and search all automobiles
wagons and other vehicles found in the
post after 11 p. m on suspicion of hold-
ing arms or ammunition.
The fourth cavalry band gave a con-
cert on the cavalry parade test night
commencing shortly after retreat which
consisted of five numbers. The chanse
of time from 3 p. m. to after rit'eafc M
a welcome one.
Troop "B" has completed its record
course in pistol firing and will begin the
mounted practice preliminary Friday
afternoon.
Recruit Hughes has joined post from
Fort Logan Colo. and has been assigned
to -IT troop.

1009 head of (Mexican cattle at Fort
Hancock on Tuesday afternoon. Two

Globe High School To Hold
Graduating Exercises

Globe. Ariz. May S. The case of the
Arizona Eastern Kailroad againBt Da-
vis Van Dyke and others for condem-
nation of rightofway through Miami is
being heard in the superior court be-
fore judge Shute. In this case the rail-
road company offered $10000 for a
rightofway owned by the defendants
and the defendants demanded $25000.
The suit is expected to be a hard
fought one and every day of its con-
tinuance in court delays the building
of the Arizona Eastern to the site of
the new Inspiration Copper company's
big mill.
Graduation exercises of Globe high
school will be held on Kay 19 six pu-
pils graduating. Five of them are
young women and the other Turner
Smith recently appointed cadet to An-
napolis naval academy by senator Mark
Smith.
A large delegation returned from
Phoenix where they had been to pro-
test against the separation of Winkle-
man and Ilavden district from Gila
county. Pat Rose supervisor and oth- '
era who went over roport that tney do
not believe any portion of Gila county
will be given to Pinal at this time or
that any county division bills will be
passed other than the one which will
provide for county segregations and
formations by vote of a majority of the
people in the sections concerned
Four hundred to 500 Moose will go
to Phoenix for Moose day there during
the state fair according to the secre-
tary of the local lodge here. The day
that will be set will probably be Friday
of fair week and a large number of
Globe'a prize athletes will eo girded
to take off tne principal prizes in the
field events.
An Englishman named Clifford was
arrested here on a telegram from San
Carlos asking that the officers hold
him. Clifford is said by the officers1
to have been well known by the police
of El Paso and Tucson.
