not Christians are being attract-

There is now a congregation
of Christians meeting in Fuller-
ton, Texas. This community is
known locally as Frankel City.
It consists mainly of oil camps
that have been built by many
oil companies for the Shafter

Salt Lake City is possibly the
greatest fountain-head of error
to be found in the Western Hemi-
sphere. The Latter Day Saints
are positive that they are right,.
and find their religion sufficient
■ to supply them with their every
spiritual desire and -material
need. From all that I have been
able to gather, only one denomi-
nation has made any inroads into
the Mormon church. They have
done it by a firm, consistent, and
militant attack upon its errors. It
’is my firm conviction that any-
thing less than that will fail with
us. So long as we were 'doing so,
we were growing; but when that
program was scuttled, we began
a regression. This is not to con-
done all the harshness with which
we have treated these people
But It is only when we labor
even with so great a loss, the
congregation is maintaining an
average of more than half of
what the contribution used to be.
With seventy-five members it
only averaged a little better than
3100, but wtith thirty-four mem-
bers it now averages >63.48.
The Greatest Need
to save him.
Aggressiveness Needed
Whenever we have stopped car-
rying the truth to the lost, our
experience is that we immediate-
ly cease to convert. People here
just do not come to our services.
The gospel has to be carried to
them. Our efforts to do any suc:
cessful soul-saving must be spear-
headed with a good radio pro-
gram. This should be followed
up with one of these free cor-
respondence Bible courses, a reg-
ular weekly church bulletin, and
some worthwhile newspaper ad-
vertising. In addition to the
above, there is the possibility of
conducting another big personal-
work campaign; combining with
this both a vacation Bible school,
and a good Gospel meeting.
A Wonderful Opportunity
Brother Homer Hailey is in-
structing many of the students
at A.C.C. in how to meet the
errors of Mormonism, as well as
other false teachings. Besides
that, he is encouraging-many of
them to come to Salt Lake for I
our proposed campaign of per-1
sonal work, vacation Bible school, J congregation to attend.

nay that It ever was, and to carry
on the program that should have
been carried in saving souls. It is
only at the expense of gospel
meetings, radio programs, and
other constructive work that they
ever paid their own way. We
welcome any members to move
here. But that is hardly the an-
swer to our question. The Central
church at Houston is sending 525
per month for this year. That is
the only assured help we have,
and that ie only for this year.
Unless we have an additional 8200
per month, we oan not maintain
a full-time evangelist, let alorie
carry on the- constructive pro-
gram so badly needed/’toill you

. The churches at Hobbs, N.M.,
,Eunice, N. M. Seminole. Tex.,
and McCamey, Tex., made liber-
al contributions for the erection
of the building, and the McCam-
ey church furnished the seats,
which was no minor detail. The
Church at Andrews, wishes to
publicly express appreciation for
the aid from these other congre-
gations in this effort. e
There were some 15 families
represented in the group that
went from Andrews to the work
at Fulleron.
