In Mexico City
From Mexico City very excel-
lent news comes to us. The work
that Brother L. Haven Miller
started the summer of 1951 is ex-
panding very well. Central
Church in Houston, Texas, has
sent Brother Agustin G. Figue-
roa L., to the nation’s capital to
stay and work full time in teach-
ing and preaching the Word.
According to the latest news
received the work is progressing
nicely. Brother Miller is back
from Mexico City where he help-
ed a great deal in the church
work there. The address where
the brethren meet in Mexico City
is Manzanillo 40-3, Colonia Roma

The West Helena, Ark, church
took the lead recently in estab-
lishing a congregation at Marvell,
Ark. The meeting began on Sun-
day night, June 29th aftd ran
through July 10th. Interest was
high throughout. About 300 at
tended the first service.
For the 12 nights the attend-
ance averaged about 275. There
was a Bible class for the children
each night before the .sermon
which averaged 55.
The beginning of this work was
made possible by West Helena

Work With Wichita,
Kansas Congregation
BY WILBURN C. HILL
444 N. Fountain
Wichita 8, Kansas
Our work with the Fourth and
Elm congregation at Sweetwater,
Texas, closed on June 29, and the
following Sunday (July 6) we
started with the Cleveland Ave-
nue congregation, 130 Cleveland
Avenue, Wichita, Kansas. We
were received very graciously
and from all indications every-
thing is ready for a grand work.
Anytime you are visiting in
Wichita, or passing through, we
would be happy to have you visit
us. During the summer months
we meet at an eatlier hour for
the Sunday morning services.
Bible Study is at 9:00, commun-
ion at 10:00, followed by the ser-
mon. When you come, come early
and worship with us.
A new minister’s home located
at 444 North Fountain was pur-
chased by the church just prior
to our coming.
It is with much sadness we bid
farewell to the brethren at
Fourth and Elm, and they ex-
pressed their love in many ways
as they wished us godspeed. Dur-
ing the last few weeks we were
at Sweetwater, five were added
by baptism, four by restoration,
and twelve by membership. Dur-
ing the time we were there al-
most four years, 444 responded to
the invitation. 129 were baptisms,
145 restorations, and 170 mem-
berships.
The man selected to do the
work at Sweetwater will find a
fine congregation with which to
work.
