gation will die if left in these surroundings. Who will help it
to a place and circumstances where the truth can thrive?
Already these members have bought one of the best locations
in the city for $4,000 Already they have near $1,000 ready them-
selves on a building. Some others have provided over $9,000, and a
loan of $10,000 is secured. $25,000 will be needed to build. Who will
give the $5,000? How much can you give?
Will you help a young congregation that is struggling In
despiration to present New Testament Christianity to a great
city, the largest city in the United States in which churches of
Christ own no building?
We always feel so good to help worthy people and places in
need. You will be happy when you help establish the Lord’s work
in St. Paul.
Make checks payable to the Westside Church of Christ, and mail
to Harvey Childress, Evangelist, 733 E. 48th Street, Minneapolis

Dear Brethren in Christ:
Will you please do something good for the poor Christians
in Korea, through your paper. That is that some Christians
and Churches of Christ want to send some clothing to Korea
for the Christians there. But they don’t know how and where
to whom to send the old clothing.
The clothing could be sent to Korea by twfb ways—one is
through American brethren who are in Pusan and Tae-Gur
now The name and address is: Pfc. H. K. Blaine US 2673
22nd Evac. Hosp., APO 301 care of P.M., San Francisco’
Calif (He is in Pusan, Korea), and Lt. Col. Howard Henson’
G. 2 Section HQ EUSAK, APO 301 care of P.M., San Francis-
co, Calif. (He is in Tae-Gu, Korea).
The other way is to Choong Mo Dong, P.O. Box 59, Pusan,
Korea (He is my son). The American brethren will not stay
there very long, therefore, it is better not to send the clothing
to them after four or six months. Must write <m the packages
“For Korean Christians”, or “For Relief”.
If you will put it in your paper, it will help the poor
Korean Christians very much I thank you very much for this

feet, not of the Bible’s teaching and influence,
but of the perversion of the Book’s teaching
and a counteraction of its influence.
Mistaking the denominational slander
Christianity for Christianity itself, the exasW
perated people have all dismissed Christ from
their minds and have turned to unbelief and *
worldliness. Even those now in the denomina-
tional organizations, are there, in most cases,
because of social ties rather than religious con-
victions. There are few who really believe in
Jesus as Lord, although they profess to honor
and worship him as Lord. But Christ asks
’ Why call ye me Lord, Lord, and do not the
things which I say?” (Luke 6:46).
There is not a member of a denomination
in Oklahoma that does not, at some point in his
doctrine and faith, reject Jesus as Lord. Hence
there is no genuine acceptance of Jesus as Lord
eve n in the denominations themselves, and the
divisions thy create all but destroy the world’s
confidence in the integrity of the Christian
scriptures.
The denominations, in their clashing and ir-
reconcilable doctrines which they espouse, are
teaching the world that these are all taught
in the Bible and that the people who teach and
practice these contradictory teachings are all
following Christ in so doing, represent Christ
as a teacher of irreconcilable doctrines, doc-
t-ines which make him teach one thing through
one church, and oppose the same thing through
another church, then bless both churches by
giving to each the Holy Spirit! This, I say, is
slarder of the author of Christianity.
It makes Him and His spirit responsible for
al! the blighting effects of sectarian creed-
clashing and non-fellowship; for he gives to
tv.'o distinct churches they claim, distinct and
contradictory doctrines, and thereby put them
into opposition to each other, then give to each
His Holy Spirit to approve of and assist the
contradictory teachings, leading both into a
state of non-fellowship, and often into an ugly
opposition to each other that he wil take both
the assurance that he is so pleased with the^
< pposition to each other that he will take bo^P
to heaven when life is over and the last oppor-
tunity to oppose each other has passed and gone
to their account in the Lamb’s Book of Life!
With such teaching as that all around them,
how could the world be led to believe that
God sent Jesus to teach such a system? Nor will
the preacher in Tulsa face the issue.
The wisdom of God and the wisdom of
man were nevbr displayed in stronger contrast
than in this matteb. The wisdom of God teaches
that the world can be reached and converted
only through the oneness of professed Chris-
tians; “That they may all be one: . . . that the
world may believe that thou dids*t send me."
The wisdom of the world says; “we will reach
and convert the world through divisions of
Christians and a multiplication of churches, so
that every man can "select the church of his
choice” and be found in faith with men of like
convictions.”
And thus the fight against God goes on all
around us, wherever a denomination lifts its
voice. The fight is waged to convince the world
that God’s wisdom is at fault, and his word
unreliable; for his word says “If a house be
divided against itself, that house will not be
able to stand” (Mark 3:25) and the denomina-
tions are determined to show the unreliability
of God’s word and make the world admit
They are a divided house, and see how thej^P
are prospering! Thus they are “converting" the
world—into a Bible discrediting generation.
“Generation of vipers” was the term applied
by Christ to their prototypes, the Jewish sects.
(Matt. 23:33). The.denominations having come
into being in disobedience to the will of God,
are rightly designated by the Savior, and their
progenity can ascend no higher than infidelity.
The divided state of the parentstock can pro-
duce, says Christ, only unbelievers in his di*
vinity. We see this varified on every hand.
The colleges and universities of the world,
after a concensus to determine the fundamental
belief of students, have revealed to the inves-
t'gator that there is only a small per cent of
students that accept the Divine Sortship of J®"
sus of Nazareth. These are the sons and daugh-

“The heavens declare the glory of God; and
the fermament showeth his handiwork. Day
unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night
showeth knowledge.” Ps. 19:1-2.
Multitudes and mighty are the evidences of
the existance and superintending providences
of God. Equally convincing are the internal
evidences of the divine authorship of the Old
and New Testament scriptures. The facts of
the history and authenticity of Christianity
have been overwhelmingly substantiated
through the ages, and especially in modern
times. Yet there is widespread infidelity, and it
is daily increasing, especially among young
people. What can be the cause of the rapid
and trenchant rooting of this deadly vice.
This condition was anticipated by the Sav
ior, who sought to forestall it by naming the
only cause that could produce it, and by pray-
ing that this cause might not arise and obtain
sway. Hear him:
“Neither for these (apostles) only do I pray,
but for them also that believe on me through
their word; that they may all be one; even as
thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they
also may be in us: that the world may believe
that thou didst send me.” (John 17:20-21)
The careful and studious reader will dis-
cover here that the only cause which, in the
mind of the Savior, would or could produce
unbelief, would be the divisions that might
arise among the professed friends and follow-
ers of Christ. No other cause or unbelief is
mentioned in all the New Testament, which
fact places absolutely upon said divisions the
entire sin of unbelief in the world. From this
conclusion there is no possible escape. The
word of Christ fixes the guilt here.
From the hour of the Savior’s prayer, till
this aour, every decisive individual or party
among professed Christians has contributed,
his, or its, influence against Christ. No division
can possibly be a friend of Christ, for he would
never have prayed against any friend. He did
pray against division.. He prayed against every
denomination in the world today: He prayed
that not one of them would ever exist; he pray-
ed that the world might be spared from the
menace of denominational churches, the sole
cause that would produce unbelief in the insti-
tutions, for Christianity is the will of Christ,
ai'd against that he would never pray or work.
We all know that. Against the denominational
divisions he did pray and he does work-
through the loyal and courageous church of
Christ, for this alone stands firmly against all
denominational divisions; and that is why they
al1 oppose us, from the so called Christian
church, on up or down. We work for Christ;
they work against Him. and Why?
Simply because they exist and operate
e'er a spirit other than God’s Holy spirit- _
spirit of satan. The church of Christ like Abel
of old, by righteous and loyal teaching incurs
the wrath of unrighteous Cain Cain slew Abel
through envy. “And wherefore slew he him?
Because his works were evil, and his brother’s
righteousness” (I John 3:12). That very envy
and sin lie behind every use of the word
"Campbellite," which the denominations de-
light in flinging at the church of Christ. Being
for Christ we are essentially against all divi-
sion, which division is the sum or demonina-
tionalism.
Destroy sinful division and you destroy ev-
ery denomination on earth' Work for or
through any denomination and you work solely
tc perpetuate the very sin which Christ pray
ed might never exist. No denomination can
ever be saved, because its one foundation is sin
and sin which creates infidelity through foster-
ing and perpetuating division.
The remarkable growth and r.c;
fidelity in Germany, Russia, Mexico
world quarters, is not due to any antipathy
toward Christ, but is the result solely of the
inconsistency, cupidity, and tyranny of the Ro-
man Catholic “Mother” arid her protestant
daughters, the popular denominations. These
have misrepresented and slandered the world’s
Redeemer, and a priest and pastor ridden popu-
lace, in palpable disgust, have risen in self-
defense to extracate themselves from ecclesias-
tical bondage, not taking time to investigate the
real nature of the situation, that it is the ef-
