Charles H Finney. Instructor in
organ at the Teachers College, has
accepted a position with Friends
University in Wichita. Kan., as dean
of music.
Finney, who has been a member
of the NTSTC music staff since
February, 1940, will head a 16-mem-
ber music faculty, teach piano and
organ, and direct a choral organi-
zation of 80 members, the Singing
Quakers, at Friends University. At
NTSTC he taught piano and organ
and directed the Girls Glee Club
of the college. Until the beginning
of the fall semester in September.
Finney will continue teaching at
NTSTC
Finney holds the bachelor's de-
gree from Wheajon College and
Conservatory the B M from the
Oberlin College and the M M from
Eastman School of Music. He also
holds the associateship degree from
the American Guild of Organists,
granted by the state of New York.
