Simmons Buys Property.
One of the largest real estate deass
c.'i .North Stanton street just north of
the tracks that has been made in several
ri'.nth was closed Tuesday when H. J.
Simmons bought the southwest corner of
M.tnton and Missouri streets fcpm Chas.
Davis and Y. H. Brophy for $40000.
The property consists of two pieces.
That of W. H. Brophy has a frontage of
4S feet oa the corner of Stanton street
an 1 a depth of 120 feet on Missouri
street. The lavis property has 41 feet
front go on Stanton street and a depth
of 120 feet to the alley.
Mr. Simmons is at present out of
tow n and it is not known if he will make
anv improvements on the property. At
present there are some small old fash-
ioned brick cottages thereon which have
stood there for several years and were
anion'- the first of their kind to be erect-
ed in El Paso.
Juarez House Sold.
Mrs. S. K. Comfort has sold Luis
Sun.iniego the American hotel in Juarez
lor $6000. This is a two story brick
structure oq Lerdo avenue next to th

The interest in Kalem's Biblical
masterpiece "From the Manger to
the Cross" has been so great that the
management of the Wigwam last
night made arrangements to hold the
picture over today. The usual shows
will be given today and tonight com-
mencing at noon.
For Thursday another of Kalem's
features has been secured- It is a two-
reel special release entitled "The Last
Blockhouse" It is a stirring Western-
Indian military picture. Still another
Kalem feature will also be shown In Jt
i he famous dressmaking establishment
of Lady Duff-Gordon (Lucille) figures
nnd many beautiful gowns are seen on
