Coindr L H Ridout. Jr., U8NR,
officer-1>>-charge of the navy re-
cruiting etatlon at Dallas aince July
1813. has been detached from duty
here and ordered to report for duty
at San Francisco. Calif. Lt. Comdr.
Ridout has lived in Dallas for 32
years Prior to entering the navy
he had been with the Ford Motor
Company for 14 years. He roeigned
as Lincoln-Mercury Division man-
ager to enter the naval service.
Approximately 100,000 men have
been processed through the Dallas
navy recruiting station during the
30 months he has been in charge
here The Dallas recruiting district
is credited with having maintained
a highly favorable position among
navy recruiting districts through-
out the nation
In IXember 1943. Lt Comdr
Ridout was awarded the navy and
