develop a leadership training program for
the nine northeastern states was formed
October 27-28 at a meeting designed to
identify the needs for these areas and for-

sions, Couch said.
“It is expected that the work of this com-
mittee will be an ongoing one, and each
man was asked to serve for one, two, or
three years. The three men repheed each
year will be repheed with others from the
same states," Couch said.
The group, along with about 20 other
men from other areas, met for a two day
conference at the invitation of the
65-member Oswego church. They met on
the campus of the State University of New
York, Oswego, N.Y. (SUNY).
Bob Thompson, a SUNY professor in
school administration and an elder of the
Oswego congregation, presided over the
planning sessions.
Becton has written several books
directed at those facing long-term or life-
threatening illness, particularly cancer.
Hh books include “Ths Gift of Life.”
“Coining to Grips with God," and “The
Beouty of God’s Whisper."
Becton is present*) involved with a
television ministry called “Herald of
Truth."

Nichols, (Thursday).
A leadership dinner will be held Tuesday
for all elders, deacons and preachers. A
Tuesday luncheon will honor long-time
preacher G. K. Wallace.
A large area tn the building will be
reserved for displays from publishers,
benevolent homes, Christian colleges, mis-
sions and other endeavors.
Free lodging may be requested in ad-
vance in the homes of Christians in the
area.
Tapes will be available, and the lectures
will be printed in book form.
