A NEW MATIT PICKFORTJ.
"A Romance of the Redwoods" will
be shown at the "Wicwam today to-
morrow and Wednesday. This is the
Artcraft'3 latest Mary Pickford pro-
duction. It is claimed for it that It
Is the best thing that she has done
since her memorable Tess of the
Storms Country" not even excepting
"A Poor Little Rich Girl" which
many considered her very best pic-
ture. .
"A Romance of the Redwoods" was
written by Jeanle MacPherson who
is the author of "Joan the WomanV"
the first motion picture to be shown
at 35 a seat general admission. It
was directed by Cecil B. DeMille. who
also produced "Joan the Woman." and
who is reputed to be the most artistic
of all directors.
The story is a romantic one as its
title indicates and it was written es-
neciallv to fit Mary Pickford's charm
ing personality. The scenes were
made among tha giant redwoods of
California and the production as a
whole is said to be the most pictur-
esque in which "Little Mary" has
ever appeared.
