black lace with rhinestpne clips,
and Mrs Frank Carroll, who wore
black crepe with hobnail trim and

handsome silver tea and coffee

blue And yellow, and featured bou-

As the guests arrived they were
greeted by Mrs. Sullivan, who
wore a Jersey dinner gown with
a corsage of fugl chrysanthemums,
She introduced, each guest to the

John A. James, mother pt the
bride-elect. Miss Ida Ruth Janies,
Mrs. E L. Hallman, mother' of
the bridegroom-elect. Mrs. .Kyle
Miser of Fort Worth. Mrs Shir-
ley Clark and Mrs. Billy Ewing
Mrs. James wore a formal
black crepe gown with sequin
poc,kets and a corsage of red Cali-
fornia daisies Miss James, chose
aqua blue crepe gown with golden
pearl trim Her corsage was of
yellow sweetheart roses. Mrs."*

with blue beaded collar trim and

entwined with dainty sprays of
the smilax ahd tied with more of
the cloudlike malihe Garlands
of the smilax adorned the table-
cloth .. . -
The yellow and .white alcove in
tire dining room held a lady-wlth-
the-hat vase filled with yellow
daisy chrysanthemums, and the
same Howers, intermingled with
green English ivy, tumbled out of
the partly-opened drawers beneath
the shelves of the alcove.
The staircase leading to the
gin rooms on the second floor was
entwined with garlands of English
ivy which also decorated a small
