Mrs. H. R. DeRoeck presented
several of her pupils in' a pro-
gram this morning at South Ward
school. This was thc last presenta-
tion this year of the Children's:
Littlc Theater.

So serious was horse stealing in
the state at one time that the
thief got o9 lashes "well laid on.''

placed into jail. The old law also
provided for cropping of the cul-
prit's ear, and made him wear a
large letter C in public when re-
leased.
