Dallas, Nov. 24.—(United Press)—
The “little red school house” has had
its day.
Children no longer want to go to
forms of social intercourse; but |rom {that kind of school, according to A.
the high standpoint of sparkling, re-
sults seem to be about equal.
Buggy riding in the fall used to lie
succeeded by sleigh riding in thejwin-
ter, both to b^ succeeded by a crop
of weddings in June. An oy-timer
who remembers those buggy rides '
wonders how the automobile sur-
vives. “How in the name of Dan
Cupid,” he asks] “could a fellow pro-
pose even to the sweetest girl while
skidding arouml corners with h)s foot
on the gas?” And he recalls without
sorrow the old .team he used tq drive
at less than a tenth The riotor's
speed. The horses were, in fact, spe-
cially chosen for their slowness, and
even before the days of •modern
nomenclature might have been called
his “spark plugs.”
So we pass up the love rhapsodies
