New Testament Christianity. The lessons in this
lectureship were presented by outstanding godly men,
and all Christians who attended were uplifted and
stimulated by the series of lectures and class-room
sessions.
Oklahoma Christian College with James 0. Baird
as president is presenting a good image to the Okla-
homa City community and its environs. As a matter
of fact, OCC is getting national acclaim.
Then. March 1-5 there was the great training for
service series at the Putnam City church building.
John Bannister was the key-note speaker, and a
roster of outstanding teachers presented inspiring
lessons. This created better teachers in all of the
congregations, and instilled more dedication and
devotion to the cause of Christ. Arnott Lowder was
an outstanding director, and the force of this great
meeting will be felt in the Oklahoma City area.
In March the churches of Christ in the Oklahoma
City area cooperated in a great Sunday morning
Bible School drive. Each congregation set a goal to
be reached every Sunday for four consecutive weeks
in March. The over all goal was to be 10,000.
At this writing the drive is not over, but many
congregations have met their goals, and spiritual
fever is running high throughout the area. This has

A morning session and night
classes will provide a wide
offering of training courses.

Great Things Underway

The church of the Lord is certainly on the march
in the Oklahoma City area. There have been many
stimulating events during the current year, 1965.
To begin, God’s people enjoyed the Fifteenth
Annual Oklahoma Christian College Lectureship, Feb-
ruary- 7-11. The theme. “The Continuing Restora-
tion” which emphasized great preaching, was a most
needed theme for the 20th Century

Guild, well-known evangelist
and former president of Fort
Worth Christian CoHege, will
speak during a gospel meeting
April 12-18 at the Church
Christ in Midwest City.
The elders have elected
hold two services each night
with no day services scheduled.
Guild will preach for members
of the church at 7 p.m. services.
Evangelistic services will fol-
low at 7:45 p.m.
Bro. Guild, 1939 graduate of
Abilene Christian College, is now
serving as minister for the
Houston and Pease Street
Church in Vernon, Tex.
He was president of the Chris-
tian College in Fort Worth
three and a half years im-
mediately prior to resigning to
devote full time to the ministry.
He has an extensive back-
ground in evangelism, mission-
work, Christian education
and local work as a minister of
the gospel.
The Midwest City meeting in
eludes two services each night
in an effort to provide con-
venient opportunity for every-
one to attend at least one serv-
ice every night.
Visitors to the area have been
extended a special invitation to
hear Guild at every oppor-
tunity.
