for her at TCC. After receiving an
associate degree in mental health,
she earned a bachelor’s in rehabili-
tation science from the University
of Texas Southwestern. She is cur-
rently pursuing a master’s degree at
Texas Woman’s University.
A licensed chemical dependen-
cy counselor, Savage has worked as
an adult education coordinator at the
Tarrant Council of Alcoholism and
Drug Abuse for six years.
“The education I received form
the program is everything I use on a
daily basis in my work. The pro-
gram prepared me thoroughly for
the work I do. I feel honored and
humbled to have had the privilege
of attending TCC for my associate
degree,” she said.
Another American Airlines em-
ployee has turned her education
from TCC into a career. Williams
has been with the company for 19
years and has management experi-
ence in both human resources and
finance. She also works as the man-
agement volunteer for emergency
operations at DFW Airport.
In 1991, Williams received her
associate degree from TCC and then
attended the University of Texas at
Arlington, where she graduated with
honors with a Bachelor of Business
Administration.
Williams serves on the man-
agement advisory board at TCC and
as the volunteer chaperone at the
Miss Rodeo American Pageant in
Las Vegas.
Timothy J. Flores
Flores earned his Associate of
Arts degree in 1997 before transfer-
ring to the University of Texas at
Arlington, where he obtained his
bachelor’s in aerospace engineering.
He then studied engineering man-
agement at the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology, where he
earned his master’s.
Currently serving as acting di-
rector of the independent program
assessment offices at NASA, he has
been with the company 15 years.
He has been decorated for his ser-
vice in the U.S. Army and has won
several awards based on his perfor-
mance and service at NASA.
Flores published “Earthly
Considerations on Mars” in the
Academy Sharing Knowledge
Magazine and also works as a
Special Olympics volunteer.
Grant, who worked for 17
years in the dental assisting field, re-
turned to school for dental hygiene.
She chose TCC because it was close

tal hygiene program, and the faculty
are well-respected around the state.

TCC,” she said.

tronic technology has allowed
Carrell to work with the things he
loves—computers. He has worked
for 18 years in computer networking
and in the engineering field and has '
extensive speaking experience in the
area of networks and technology.
After TCC, he continued his
education in network technology
and computer science and is a mem-
ber of the Institute of Electrical and
Electronic Engineers.
Carrell also has worked as an
active volunteer in the Junior 1
Achievement Program, and he also ,
has published numerous articles in
the computer science field.
NE instructors nominated grad-

award, now in its third year.

Mack J. Davis III
In 1997, Davis received his as-
sociate degree from TCC and gradu-
ated with honors and a business de-
gree in finance from the University
of Texas at Arlington. Now he uses
his finance and business skills as as-
sistant vice president of corporate
banking at Frost Bank.
His resume includes eight years
in the convention hotel industry, six
years in banking and finance and cer-
tification as a treasury professional.
