Rachel Adi Enav is the daughter of Naomi
and Eyal Enav and the sister of David. She is the
granddaughter of the late Ernestine Spielman and
Dr. Maurice Spielman, and Nava Enav and the
late Israel Enav. A graduate of the Beth Yeshurun
Day School, Rachel is currently a seventh grade student at The
Emery/Weiner School.
For her Mitzvah Project, Rachel volunteered at the Houston
Humane Society, taking care of the animals and facilitating pet adop-
tions. A Camp Young Judaea enthusiast, Rachel has decided to
participate in the Rabbi’s Ten-Percent Plan and help other children
go to camp. Her donations will be split between Camp Young Judaea
and Camp Periwinkle, a summer camp for children undergoing can-
cer treatments at Texas Children’s Hospital, and their siblings.
Danielle Matthews is the daughter of Beth
Matthews. She is 13 years old and she loves help-
ing people out. At Beth Yeshurun and her school,
all her teachers compliment her about how she is
so sweet and helpful.
Danielle goes to Jane Long Middle School. She plays the trum-
pet in her after-school programs and she is captain of the Drill Team
and a member of the choir, but what she loves most is Martial Arts
training through the Kick Start program.

David William Leventon is the son of
Marjorie and Dr. George Leventon and the
brother of Isaac and Nathan. He is the grandson
of Dr. Louis Soletsky and the late Maxine Soletsky
and the late Mildred Leventon and the late Dr.

May their memories be for a blessing.
Isidore Leventon, all of New York. David is a seventh grade student
at Pershing Middle School and is a graduate of the William S. Malev
School. David has been active in the Boy Scouts since first grade
and has earned the Maccabi, Aleph and Arrow of Light Cub Scout
Awards. He is currently a First Class Scout with Troop 806 at Con-
gregation Beth Israel.
In addition to the many mitzvahs that David does in con-
junction with his scout troop, he volunteers at the Houston Hu-
mane Society. He works in both the cat and dog areas giving the
animals exercise, playtime, affection and helping visitors find just
the right pet. David will participate in the Rabbi’s Ten-Percent Plan
by donating five percent of his monetary gifts to the Houston Hu-
mane Society and five percent to Magen David Adorn.
Megan Helaine Hurta is the daughter of Su-
san and Bruce Hurta and the sister of Michael
l Hurta. Her proud grandparents are Gloria and
| Leslie Hurta of Smithville, TX, and Miriam and
Harold Joachim of Houston. Megan is a gradu-
ate of the Beth Yeshurun Day School and is currently a seventh
grade student in the Vanguard program at Lanier Middle School,
where she is a member of the Speech, Debate and Dance teams.
Megan also enjoys sewing, singing and playing the piano. Last
May, she earned her black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
For her Mitzvah Project, Megan has been crafting and sewing
different blankets which will be donated to the Linus Project for
abused and traumatized children. She has also collected baby items
which will be donated to the DePelchin Children’s Center. Further-
more, Megan will be participating in the Rabbi’s ten-percent plan by
donating a portion of her gifts.
