^NOTICE OF EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY*
Swisher County Appraisal District (SCAD) is accepting appli-
cations for the position of Collections Clerk. Preferred applicants
should be career-oriented with ambition and a willingness to learn.
Also, be punctual, have effective oral and written communication
skills and be able to work independently, with others and with the
general public. Strong consideration will be given to applicants with
a background in property taxes and/or accounting and finance. Past
general collections, office, administrative and/or bookkeeping expe-
rience a plus. Bilingual and skill at 10-Key also a plus.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: (1) collecting cur-
rent and delinquent taxes (2) monitoring installment agreements (3)
working with attorneys concerning lawsuits, judgements and seizures
(4) processing mail (5) balancing, depositing and reconciliation of
monies collected. There will also be clerical responsibilities in the
appraisal process as well. Applicant MUST be willing to complete
the educational requirements mandated by the TDLR.
Salary range will be contingent upon qualifications and commen-
surate with experience. A benefit package is provided with employ-
