WEYBURN, Sask., Canada—
By the end of the 1961-62 fiscal
year. Western Christian College
will have cbnducted nearly half
a million dollars in business
since moving to Weyburn sev-
eral years ago, shareholders
were told at the annual meet-
ing held on November 4.
Over 400 visitors were on the
campus for the three-day an-
nual lectureship and the meet-
ing
Highlighting the lectureship
was a series of lectures de-
livered by Otis Gatewood, pres-
ident of Michigan Christian Col-
lege Mr Gatewood compared
education in /America today with
that of the Soviet Union He
stressed the need for more spir-
itual and moral emphasis,^ es-
pecially in higher education.

consented to spearhead this
meeting and to do the preach-

I churches were established as a
I result of the preaching of Alex-
I ander Campbell. Through the
I years many of these have di-
I gressed or completely died out.
At one time Glasgow had six
faithful congregations with sev-
eral hundred members. Today
there are only 1« churches of
Christ with a total membeship
1 of 420 in the entire country of
Scotland
In May, 1959. the Jerry Por-
ter and Dale Buckley families
arrived in Glasgow to assist the
only faithful church left in this
city of 1 1 4 mjllion people
Since that tune the small sev-
en-member church has moved
into a new location and now |
has 25 faithful members
