North Texas State Teachers Col-
lege closed its official two-day en-
rollment period for the spring se-
mester Tuesday afternoon at 5
o'clock. Of these. 170 were new stu-
dents.
Enrollment at the end of the. sec-
ond day of registration for the
spring semester last year was 2,701
or 400 more than this year This
year’s drop was not out of line with
what was expected in view of the
present national emergency, col-
lege officials said.
Late registration was continuing
at the Teachers College Wednes-
day, and a final enrollment figure
will not be available for some time.
