terested In garden projects.
Each of the-18 girls completing
their garden projects had on dis-
play at the fair grounds several
jars of food canned at home from
her garden. This food Included vege-
tables, fruits, pickles, and relishes.
While Warren and Lee Toothaker,
labor recruiter In the office, were
engaged in last-minute conferences
and making final plans for the pig
show, Miss Roberson and her girls
were working on the food exhibits
and Miss Quita Miller, office secre-
tary, was printing cards to Identify
the pigs at the show and to Indi-
cate the prize winners. Outside the
office. Miss Roberson's car was lit-
erally groaning with food, cooking
utensils, and other materials need-
ed in the preparation of a meal.
Luncheon Service
For the day had a luncheon on its
program, too. At noon about 300
members of the Kiwanis, Rotary
| and Lions Clubs had a lolut lupch-

student in T. 8. C. W. from Roa-
’ Scout executive for Denton Ooun-

Miss Oerter, who Is a sociology
