Your zone is the one in which you work;
if you do not work, it is the zone in
which you live. Check your zone and
team, and make your purchase of bonds
immediately. Many towns in the coun-
ty are already over the top. Denton can-
not fail to do as well.

A D-DAY CHALLENGE
TO DENTON CITIZENS
give the 3,500 boys in service from Denton County
3. The workers and bond purchasers would get a big thrill
weeks.
On D-Day in Normandy, France, our fighting servicemen were not asked whether they had “time” to do their job; THEY DID IT!
Each day on the fighting fronts, our boys are not asked whether or not they want to do their jobs today or later; they do them TODAY.
On the home front, we cannot fail to do our job by saying, “I can’t work on this War Bond Drive until next week.” Denton citizens,
are you willing to buy bonds on time? This is a challenge to every patriotic Denton citizen to buy their bonds tomorrow—the FIRST
day—Tuesday, November 21st! One hundred forty workers challenge Denton citizens to buy their quota of bonds in one day.
Denton County has always reached and exceeded it’s bond-buying quota, but in several instances, it has taken three or four weeks to do
the job. The organizers of the Sixth War Loan Drive in our county have the definite feeling that this job SHOULD and CAN be com-
pleted in one day for several reasons: 1. It is patriotic to buy these bonds; 2. We feel that if we subscribe our quota in one day, it will
a real feeling that the people from their home base are wholeheartedly behind them;
out of doing their job quickly rather than prolonging it for several unnecessary
