MIDLAND, Dec. 22.—Farmers of
Midland County are practically unan-
imously in their determination to
standardise on cotton and to raise
only the long .staple variety. The
majority of the farmers will go in
for a staple from one inch to an
inch and a sixteenth. This senti-
ment was crystirtized at a meeting
of farmers here this week when
standardization and staple lengths
were discussed
The county agent and Chamber of
Commerce are waging a campaign
to keep Mildan’s present status,
whereby the farmers get a premium
