AIR MAIL January 17, 1953 Mr. Mark F. Heller Aurorastrasse 78 Zurich, Switzerland Dear Heller: I am in receipt of yours of the 12th with further reference to Rolf Wild. I am afraid that the employment of this young man will lead to considerable difficulties in the future both from the reasons as given in your letter and, secondly, on account of the necessity of his supporting an invalid Father in Switzerland. I am not so sure but that this Father might not prove to be a drain on us if Wild is once tied into our organization. From all that you say, we positively would not care to entrust him with the opening of a Zurich office until we first could try him out here both as to his abilities, habits, and intelligence and that would entail at least a year's time. We are not averse to paying him $200. 00 a month after he arrives here and arranging for his passage over and back, with the understanding that he would be another hired clerk in our office subject to dismissal at any time that we felt so inclined or for any reason that might seem proper to us. He would work here in the office, in the sample room; he on his part trying to learn the business, we on our part to watch his habits and ability. We are not at all concerned about not being able to secure offices in the Baumwollbbise in Bremen at the present time. I knew that office space would be difficult to obtain in this building at the present time but I am convinced that space could be eventually secured with temporary quarters in the neighborhood of the old Exchange. Yours very truly,
