Thomas Adams were held
Sunday, February 5, at 2:00
p.m. in the Harvey Funeral
Home Chapel with Rev George
Mosier and Rev Bob Evans
officiating. Burial was in Mt
Vernon Cemetery.
Adams, 82, died February 4
at Franklin County Hospital
He was born August 28, 1895 in
Alabama, the son of l^ayfette
and Dora Milner Adams He
married the former Ida Horn in
Mt. Vernon He was a member
of the First Baptist Church of
Mt Vernon and a veteran of
World War I
Survivors include his widow;
four daughters, Mary Jo Long.
Norva Gaye Black and Betty
Cason, all of Mt Vernon, and
Mrs James Cason of Crossett.
Arkansas; two sons, Buster and
Zack Adams of Mt Vernon;
three brothers, Johnnie Barker
and Bob Barker of Mt Vernon
and Lloyd Barker of Hooks; 15
grandchildren; and four great,
grandchildren Two
Robert and Thomas,
preceded him in death
Pallbearers were Bryan
Freeman, Rickey Weatherford,
Thomas Tower, Kenneth Sin
clair, Dee Wafford,

A miscellaneous shower will
be given for the David Tabor
family on Thursday, February
9, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at One
Way house behind the United
Methodist Church.
The Tabor family home was
recently destroyed by fire.

for five years before moving
back to Mt Vernon in 1964
My husband is a Vocational
Agriculture teacher We have
three children. Sue and Mark
who attend Mt Vernon High
School, and Ronnie, who is a
sophomore at Texas Tech
University
My parents are Ruby Gilbert
and the late Johnnie Gilbert
They have been long time
residents of Franklin County.
We own our home about two „
and a half miles southeast of
Mt Vernon
If elected to this office I will
do my best to fulfill the duties
