Burglaries Top
$4,000 For Month
Losses for thefts over the last
three week period exceeded $4050
according to reports filed with the
Franklin County Sheriff’s Depart-
ment.
The amount estimated came in
nine reported thefts or burglaries,
however persons filing four other
reports were unable to estimate
the value of items taken.
Four persons have been ar-
rested in connection with the May
29 burglary of the R. P. Campbell
residence. Willie Ray Mitchell,
age 26 of Pittsburg, Thomas De-
wayne Mitchell, age 24 of Rt. 2,
Mount Vernon, John Earl
Hargrave, age 29, and Curtis
Deloney, age 40, both of Mount
Vernon, remain in jail in lieu of
$5000 bond each on the burglary
charge.
W. R. Mitchell also faces a
charge of resisting arrest, on
which a $3000 bond was set, and
Camp County warrant for
forgery, on which no bail was set.
Emelio Perez, age 20, Mount
Pleasant, was released on $1000
bond on a charge of theft. He is
accused in connection with the
theft of a $800 paycheck and $340
cash from the Francisco Herrera
